The Northwest Technical Center Licensed Nurse Assistant Training Program is approved by the Vermont State Board of Nursing. Training includes LNA orientation, 60+ hours of Classroom / lab, State licensing exam preparation and 32 hours (4 days) of clinical practice. Clinical placements are at Northwestern Medical Center, St. Albans Healthcare and Franklin County Rehab. The course focuses on essentials for Nursing Assistants, safe and effective practices for care in a health care setting. Students learn the basics of assisting patients, body mechanics, ethics, and communication, and prepare for the licensing exam. The written and skills LNA licensing testing is done at Northwest Technical Center and scheduled upon course completion. Applicants must be able to pass a thorough background check. Payment plans are available for LNA students. Please Note: LNA Training classes fill up quickly. Submit your registration as soon as possible for a spot in Fall Semester classes. If the section you select if full, we will notify you. Application to LNA training does not guarantee admittance. All candidates are required to participate in LNA Orientation and Interviews. |
