Make your reservation now. In March 2012, introduce your business to the future workforce. That is students from Franklin, Grand Isle and Chittenden Counties (over 1,000 in all) will be attending the 13th Annual Franklin Region Career/Job Expo at the Collins-Perley Sports & Fitness Center in St. Albans, VT. The event is also open to the public and in the past has averaged over 100 adult job seekers per hour. Your business needs to be there! The Career/Job Expo is critical for several reasons. In today’s economic market, it is essential to find qualified employees. Here is your opportunity to introduce your business to area students, educators and other community members. Job opportunities can be profiled and new channels of communication between regional schools, industries, businesses, students and citizens can be opened. This event is your chance to demonstrate the exciting future employment opportunities in our region. Students from BFA Fairfax, BFA St. Albans, Northwest Technical Center, Cold Hollow Career Center, Enosburg, Missisquoi Valley Union, Richford, Project Soar, Vermont Adult Learning, Milton and Northeast Clinton Community High Schools have been invited to attend. An average of 500 students will attend each Expo session from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. This year’s Expo will be open to the public from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Your participation is essential to the day’s success. Each participant is asked to have general information, literature, and if possible, samples of your product or service on display. Free Wi-Fi is available. A booth that is interactive and exciting will draw interested potential employees. An area will be available for completion of applications. The Career/Job Expo will also be covered extensively by the local media, sending your message throughout the region. Information you provide will be published in a special section of the St. Albans Messenger and distributed to all the participating students and educators prior to the event. This is a pivotal project for our community and, thus, has considerable local backing. The fee for a space, tables, and power at the Job Expo are detailed on the enclosed registration form. Coffee, breakfast pastries and lunch for 2 people will be provided to your presenters. If you have any questions about this event, please contact Marilyn Savoy at 527-6513 or Melanie Langevin at 527-4212. Click here for a list of the 2011 Exhibitors |
