Lead Rule Affects Renovations, Repairs and Painting. In 2008 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a rule that has significant impact on renovation and remodeling. The Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) changes how contractors work on certain building.. Effective 2010, if you work on a house or child occupied facility built before 1978 rule may apply regardless of who owns the facility or who is paying for the work..
Registration fee includes all class materials and supplies. Please note that the class has mandatory hands-on skills assessments that the students must participate in and be assessed as "proficient" by the instructor in order to sit for the test. The course fee also includes a final exam. Grant funding is available for this class.
