Phlebotomists perform blood collection procedures, draw blood and handle, transport and process blood samples.  This course provides theoretical and technical introductory skills of a phlebotomist including anatomy and physiology of circulatory system, medical terminology, hospital departments and clinical laboratory procedures, safety, types of laboratory analyses, specimen collection including techniques, equipment, sources of error and medical legal issues in the practice of phlebotomy.  This course is run in partnership with Vermont Technical College Technology Extension Division.

*12 Weeks of training plus 4 hours of clinical observation in lab.
